16 Oct A Word About Air Marketing
There appears to be some confusion regarding the two places I’ve been most actively blogging. I wanted to take this opportunity to clarify the relationship between this blog and AIR Marketing. If you’ve read my “About” page, you will know that I work for AIR Marketing. AIR is an analytics driven, marketing and advertising agency based in Phoenix, Arizona with a strong focus on providing ROI-based results for its clients. The philosophy at AIR is simple: Analytics + Imagination = Results.
In fact it is their strong focus on analytics and results which was a major draw for me. In my career I’ve come across many “run of the mill” and/or “buzz-word driven” marketing programs pushed by professionals bent on just selling a program with no quantifiable facts to back up their system. This just plain annoys me. If it’s worth doing, its worth doing right. But not only that, but the only way you know that something is worth doing is when you know you have a return on your investment.
So, now back to my relationship. While AIR Marketing is my employer, Social Media Wiz, is not a blog sponsored by AIR Marketing. This is a personal blog and the views expressed here are strictly mine and mine alone. I love social media (interactive online media) and have been blogging for several years now. In fact, for the past several years, I’ve used various social media tools to achieve specific business goals such as – generate leads, build relationships and network professionally with key partners. So, in that respect I use this blog to express my views and thoughts on all thing social media and the impact it is having on modern business. I am particularly fascinated with the concept of integrating social media marketing within a comprehensive marketing plan which generates consistent return on investment. Hence the reason why I’m at AIR Marketing.
AIR Marketing has its own blog, which you should subscribe to by the way – if you haven’t already. I am one of several bloggers on it and we focus on a wide range of marketing and advertising related issues. Overall the objective of the blog is to provide exceptional content to our audience so they are educated, informed and best able to achieve their marketing objectives. In a way, AIR’s blog has the same goal as the overall company: Analytics + Imagination = Results.
I hope this clears up any confusion regarding this blog and my relationship with AIR Marketing.
There, now I feel much better!
