While looking forward to the rest of Fall and the new year, it’s a good time to reflect on some of the more interesting internet marketing stats that defined the Summer of 2016. So before you make any major decisions on the trajectory of your general business and marketing strategies for 2017, review the stats below and those listed in our previous installment and give our team at New Wine Web Design a call!
-
- According to Bloglovin, food bloggers have 4 times more social follows than any other category in the blog world. What does it mean? People are hungry (kidding… sort of). If your business is the food business and you aren’t blogging and actively sharing those blogs on social media… what are you thinking? You’re missing out on tons of exposure.
-
- According to Sailthru, 60% of retail brands surveyed consider repeat purchases a top priority this year. What does it mean? Businesses are finding their niche and sticking to it by focusing on existing costumers instead of branching out.
-
- According from SocialFlow, while Facebook video only accounts for .9% of posts, it accounted for 7.15% of reach, 11.1% of shares and 5.2% of likes. What does this mean? Facebook is pushing video, and you should be to. It’s virtually guaranteed that video posts will get more organic reach, likes and exposure than text, link or photo posts.
- According to Markerly, organic Instagram posts perform just as well as ads. What does it mean? Keep posting on Instagram but focus your ad dollars elsewhere.
