YouTube has added a few new features lately that are pretty cool. The first one is where you can customize the embed code to include a colored frame around the video when you post it on your site. The choice of colors is limited in the selection menu. However, if you go to the source code you can change your two colors by adding in the HTML color code where it says this:
” =en&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1 “
The second new feature which I’ve been playing with the past few days is where you can add annotations to your video. It’s a pretty cool feature. Akin to VH1’s pop up videos. Annotations are of course only available for your own videos so you can’t add annotations on other people’s videos. The technology is currently in beta and only supports English. Additionally, the annotations do not carry over on embeds.
